When you’re in the Whitsundays on holiday, why not spoil yourself just a little bit, and indulge in some of the fine dining available at Hamilton island.
Hamilton Island offers plenty of dining choices, but for fine dining you can’t go past four of our favourite places to dine out…
The Bommie Restaurant
Overlooking the beautiful harbour of Hamilton Island, the Bommie restaurant takes is designed to take it’s inspiration from the beautiful marine environment that surrounds Hamilton Island and the Whitsundays.
The actual meaning of ‘Bommie’ is derived from the indigenous work ‘bombora’, which means ‘shallow haven for tropical fish’, and the Bommie Restaurant is sure to become one of your favourite haven’s as well, offering a wide variety of modern Australian cuisine and local produce.
Dinner is available from 6pm, with Main meals starting from $39
A number of other exclusive resorts also offer their privileged guests dining, though after dining at one of these dining establishments that overlooks Pebble Beach, patly named for the lack of nice white sand. Give me white sandy beaches any ay instead of the clearly visible rocks. Not sure if they were trying to give their guests a ‘european experience’ or if they just ran out of sand, but the view unfortunately seemed spoiled and ruined the dining experience for us.
Our recommendation is stick to the Bommie Deck and the other main restaurants that encompass the main resort area, for a great Hamilton Island dining experience.
